Spirituality programs at St. Virgil Parish include...

Adult Spirituality
An ongoing formation using various programs throughout the liturgical year to enrich the People of God.

Retreats
Each year, the parish sponsors a group of women and men from neighboring parishes in mid-January for a retreat at Loyola House of Retreats in Morristown.

Living Rosary
A team of parishioners committed to praying a decade of the Rosary each day as intercessors for the specific needs of various parish members.

Monday Evening Scripture Study
We invite anyone who is interested in deepening their faith to join us as we gather to study and break open the Word on Monday evenings. All are welcome. Contact Philip Alcock 973-538-6045

Thursday Morning Scripture Study
Co-ed scripture study group meets in the church meeting room each Thursday morning September through June.

Lenten Faith Sharing Groups
Small discussion groups meet each week during Lent to share a Lenten theme.

Pilgrim Virgin Statue
A home devotion in which the Pilgrim Statue of the Blessed Mary is delivered to your home as a center of prayer in your home and for the promotion of the rosary.

Blessing Cup for Vocations
A home devotion in which the Mass Chalice is borrowed as a center of prayer in home and for the promotion of vocations to the priesthood, deaconate, and religious life of sisters and brothers.

Penance Service
An opportunity in Advent each year and in Lent to attend a communal service of Scripture, penance and reconciliation.
