Protecting God´s Children - Touching Safety Program

In March, students in our 1st and 4th grade religious education classes will be attending Teaching Touching Safety during their regular PREP class session. (Information about the program was mailed on Feb. 10 to families with children enrolled in grade 1 and grade 4 PREP.) This program is from the creators of Protecting God’s ChildrenÖ, the program which is required of all parish volunteers and employees who regularly work with children and is part of our ongoing efforts to help create and maintain a safe environment for children and to protect all children from sexual abuse.

Grade 1 – PREP A – April 15
Grade 1 – PREP B – April 22
Grade 4 – PREP A – March 18
Grade 4 – PREP B – March 25
If you determine that you DO NOT want your child to participate, please complete the ·opt-outö form (included in Feb. 10 mailing), and return it to the Parish Office no later than March 1, 2012.

Jr. High PREP Class Time: 1:00PM – 4:00PM

Jr. High PREP students are strongly encouraged to experience God’s love and forgiveness in the sacrament of Reconciliation as part of their Lenten journey. Mondays during Lent at 7PM in the Church.

As culmination of this year’s study of Jesus, students are asked to make Holy Week a priority and attend one or more Holy Week services or liturgies in lieu of classes in April.
